This is the face we get when we ask out little guy to "yawn". He is understanding more and more each day and is starting to get a sense of humor which is so stinkin cute!

Spring is in the Air

This year we decided to leave up our Christmas lights just under our umbrella and a few days ago we noticed that a hummingbird made a nest in our lights. We are very excited to see the little baby bird(s) in a few weeks!

valentine's weekend

Since Valentine's Day is on Tuesday, we celebrated this weekend. My hubby got the cutest frame from crate and barrel that is part chalkboard/magnetic and put in pictures from a map of where we were when we met, got married, had our little man and where we live now. He is so creative now (thanks to pinterest :). Notice the cute chalk drawing courtesy of litte Z :) and if you click on the title it will take you directly to crate and barrel website! Homemade Applesauce

Since the little guy started eating food we have made all of his food from scratch. This is one of the easiest and one of his favorites! It is really simple.
1. Steam apple slices with skin on.
2. Once the apples are soft, take them out and place the apples in an ice bath (It makes it much easier to peel the skin off)
3. Peel skin off of apples
4. Place peeled apples in food processor
5. Place pureed apples in ice cube trays for use later
Now that was Easy :)

IKEA strikes again
